Apple’s Hardware King Takes the Throne With AI Still Open

Here’s my contrarian take: the most interesting thing about John Ternus taking over Apple isn’t that Apple overtook Nvidia in valuation. That part is a stock chart story. The interesting part is that a hardware guy just got handed the keys to a company that’s supposedly falling behind in AI — and the market rewarded it with a higher market cap than the company selling the chips everybody says are the future.

I build bots for a living. When I tell you why this matters, I’m not talking about earnings calls. I’m talking about what it means for the people actually writing code against Apple’s platforms versus people renting Nvidia’s hardware.

The Memory Wall Is Real, and Apple Has Been Quietly Winning It

Apple’s stock is up about 17% so far in 2026, outpacing most of its mega-cap peers, and that’s partly a device-cycle story. But from my seat, the reason the market is handing Apple a bigger valo own the expensive parts. Your job is to own the part that talks to the human.
